Stamford Artisans Guild Spring Craft Fair

The Next Stamford Artisans Guild Craft Fair will be held at the Stamford Arts Centre, 27 St. Mary’s St, Stamford, PE9 2DL on Sunday 16th May 2010 – 10 AM to 4 PM.

We have a range of crafts and creations from local artisans and selected visiting artisans on display and for sale at this Local Craft Event. This list will get updated as more Artists and Makers confirm their participation at the Craft Fair. Do come back and check the exciting crafts you can expect to buy, directly from the maker, at our next craft fair.

The Stamford Arts Centre Coffee Shop will be open on the day… Come and enjoy a variety of hot and cold snacks and home made cakes!

Meet the Stall holders:

  1. Janet Thornton – Janet makes Aromatherapy products using natual products and pure essential oils
  2. Andy & Jan Smith Photography – Framed and mounted prints, greetings cards, magnets, keyrings, bags and clocks showing local wildlife we have photographed
  3. The Portrait Lady – Portraits to commission in pencil ,oils ,or acrylics, and caricatures which are individually tailored to each client.
  4. Pat, Fran and Pam – Baby & Children’s Handknits & Crocheting
  5. Shedglass Design – Stained Glass suncatchers, candleboxes, giftware, and a range of individual pieces of jewellery
  6. Fell From Grace – Hand-made jewellery using a variety of materials and a wide range of techniques for the person who likes the unusual.
  7. Stamford Lapidary – Rough & Polished Rocks and Semi Precious Gemstones used for Crystal Healing. Also offering Cabochons and Tumblestones for Jewellery Making and other Crafts. Also Presenting a Range of Wire Sculpture Trees.
  8. Jewellery By Shalini – A collection of unique, hand-crafted semi-precious gemstones, beads and pearl Jewellery.
  9. Little-Art – Hand Painted & Personalised Canvases and greeting cards
  10. Jewellery and Accessories by Julie-Anne – Hand-made fashion and bridal jewellery – hand knitted necklace scarves and matching accessories.
  11. Rosehip Design – Sewn fabric accessories – textiles. The Rosehip accessories line features Spring/summer bags, gardening and craft ‘mini-pinnies’; sewing kits; travel rolls and note books.
  12. 1 off handbags – Handbags and accessories
  13. Karin’s Handmade Designer Jewellery – Jewellery with Handmade Venetian Glass Beads, Swarovski Crystals, Freshwater Pearls, Semi Precious Stones and British/American Lampwork Glass Beads.
  14. Amore Bears – Hand-sewn Bears made from quality Mohair, Alpaca or sometimes quality plush fabric, specially created for Collectors.
  15. KraftyKats – Handmade cards, gift boxes, pencil toppers, knitted toys, gift tags, wine charms etc.
  16. Genie Designs – Handmade lampshades and cushions
  17. Alan Moir – Children’s Wooden Jigsaw Puzzles, wooden animal Paint your own templates, Pen/pencil Holders, wooden fridge magnets & alphabet characters, wooden fretwork wall pictures.
  18. B. Windsor – Wood Turning using mainly timber sourced locally and off cuts from cabinet makers.
  19. Cards by Lorna – Papercrafts eg, scrapbooking, cards, collages etc
  20. Archives Crafts – Silver Jewellery, Pewter Repousse Work, Pewter Framed Mirrors
  21. Shelly Anderson – Glass Artist. Commissions Undertaken for kiln-formed glass including tiles, bowls, wall hangings, window panels and jewellery.
  22. Picture This – Watercolour and pen & wash land, sea and town scapes, depicting the quintessential nature of rural Britain by Melton Mowbray based Artist Christopher Clayton.
  23. The BeadworxTableware: Beaded cutlery and accessories / Fashion: Beaded bra straps and hair-ties
  24. Tilly Rose – Shabby Chic handmade gifts including many personalised items.
  25. The Crafty Pair – Kids Canvasses, Handmade cards, Jewellery – pure silver, chain-mail, tiaras, Dog collars and leads, More still to come like knitwear, candles and leather.
  26. Amethyst – Handmade Cards, Handknitted Scarves and Felt work.
  27. Jane C Sanders - Ceramic Artist. Jane will be displaying a range of Ceramic Sculptures and Tiles including her new Tree Spirit Sculptures, inspired to bring a true ” spirit” from the trees and give them their true value. They are raku fired to give an ancient natural aura.
  28. Amifleur Jewellery – jewellery from classic timeless designs to modern contemporary pieces by Sandy Chapman
  29. Wild Strawberry Picking – handmade children’s coats and dresses, handmade lampshades and traditional upholstery of small items.
  30. Stripey Finds by Cara Franses – Rutland based company creating textile and paper products which are all hand made with love in our Rutland studio. By using a mixture of new and vintage materials we design items which we find both exciting and beautiful and hope that you do too.
  31. Rutlandfairie – Embroidered pictures, clothes & accessories inspired by light & nature.
  32. Two Little Birds – beautifully packaged craft and sewing kits, and a wide range of home furnishings.
  33. Willow – Jewellery & bags, specialising in felted techniques, recycled denim and patchwork designs.

There will also be a variety of Market Stalls on the High Street on the day and Stamford Artisans Guild Member Tuk Tuk Foods will be serving Freshly cooked delicious Thai and Asian Cuisine at the stall.
